- Verify your identity using Face ID/Touch ID for locked notepads

2.2 Reminder Notifications
Send push notifications ONLY for note reminders that you explicitly set. We do NOT send promotional notifications, app updates, or feature announcements via push notifications.
2.3 App Improvement
Fix bugs and optimize performance based on crash reports (only if you enable diagnostics in iOS settings). No behavioral tracking or analytics.
How We Store & Protect
3.1 Local Storage Only
- All content stored exclusively on your device
- No proprietary servers or cloud storage
- Data encrypted using iOS standard encryption
- Locked notepads use iOS Keychain encryption
3.2 iCloud Sync (Optional)
- Notes sync via Apple's iCloud if enabled
- Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
- You can disable sync anytime in Settings
- YOU maintain direct control of your data

Note content (only when explicitly using AI features) and minimal context for processing.

Data Training Opt-Out
We have opted out of allowing AI providers to use your data for training. Your content is processed for your request only and is NOT retained.
4.2 Apple Services & Others
- Apple In-App Purchases: Processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment info.
- Face ID/Touch ID: handled by iOS. We never access biometric data.
- No Other Third Parties: We do NOT sell data, share with advertisers, or use tracking pixels.
Your Rights & Data Control
Since data is stored locally, you have absolute control without needing to contact us:

We fully comply with GDPR rights (Access, Rectification, Erasure, Portability) and CCPA rights (Know, Delete, Opt-out of Sale). Since we do not sell data and store everything locally, these rights are exercised directly through your device settings.
Children's Privacy
NoteSS is suitable for users of all ages. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children who use our app.
Safe for Children
- No account creation or personal information required
- Screenshot processing happens on-device whenever possible
- No advertising or third-party tracking
- No built-in social features or public posting
- iCloud sync is controlled by the device owner's iCloud account
Sharing Features
NoteSS includes a Share function that uses iOS's native sharing system.
- Sharing is entirely user-initiated
- Users control what they share, when, and with whom
- NoteSS does not see where or with whom content is shared
- Parents can restrict sharing capabilities through iOS Screen Time
Compliance
NoteSS complies with COPPA and GDPR. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided information inappropriately, please contact us.
7. International & Notifications
Data remains on your device or personal iCloud. When using AI features, data is processed securely (often in the US) by providers like OpenAI who comply with GDPR and do not retain your data. We only use Push Notifications for reminders you set yourself.
8. Changes & Consent
We may update this policy. Continued use constitutes acceptance. You may withdraw consent anytime by deleting the app or canceling subscriptions.
Data Deletion
- • Swipe left to delete individual notes
- • Use Settings → Delete All Data to wipe everything
- • Uninstalling the app removes all local data immediately
- We cannot recover deleted data as we have no servers.
